Map layers Pro ​
Layers overlay additional information on top of your Google Maps embed. The Pro version supports three Google Maps layer types.
Available layers ​
| Layer | Description |
|---|---|
| Traffic | Real-time traffic conditions with color-coded road segments (green = clear, yellow = moderate, red = heavy) |
| Bicycle | Dedicated bike lanes, shared roads, and trails |
| Transit | Public transportation routes, stations, and stops |
Enabling layers ​
In the WPGSV editor, go to the Layers tab. Toggle on the layers you want. You can enable multiple layers simultaneously.
Use cases ​
- Delivery businesses — Show traffic conditions around your location
- Bike shops and cycling tours — Highlight nearby cycling infrastructure
- Hotels and event venues — Display public transit options for guests without cars
- Urban businesses — Help customers plan their commute to your location
Layer limitations ​
- Layers only apply to the Google Maps and Synchronized modes (not Street View alone)
- Traffic data is real-time and varies by location and time of day
- Bicycle and transit data coverage depends on the region
